Inside Line Promotions – KNOXVILLE, Iowa (July 1, 2014) – It’s been a bittersweet week for White Lightning Motorsports.

Following neck problems that have worsened, Larry Ball Jr. is stepping aside from his 410 ride, which will provide his son, Jamie Ball, his first opportunity in the premier class at Knoxville Raceway beginning this Saturday.

“My dad has been experiencing neck and arm problems that will sideline him until he can get a second opinion,” Jamie Ball said. “They suggested not racing for a while. He’s going to be all right as a person. He was my hero growing up. He’s taught me everything I know. It’s bittersweet, yet exciting that the opportunity is there.”

Ball is scheduled to make his 410 debut this weekend when the class will have double features at the half-mile oval. He will also compete in the 360 division, where he ranks fourth in the championship standings.

“It looks like I’m a 410 racer now,” he said. “The 360 will be my main focus. The game plan is to go out and hot lap and qualify to get started (in the 410) and see where it goes from there. We don’t want to take anything away from the 360 program where I can win races and compete for the top three in the points. Hopefully it’ll help me in the 360.”

Ball, who was set to make his 410 debut last Saturday before the event was rained out, has approximately eight laps in a 410 sprint car, which came during a practice night at Knoxville Raceway earlier this year.

SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT – Driver Websites

Driver Websites was assembled in order to give racers a way to get recognized through the Internet inexpensively so the racer can put their money where it needs to go – the ride. If you have ever experienced having your own website before, you will understand the fact that being able to update your own site was only a dream. Too many times you come across a site that has results, press releases and pictures from more than a year ago. Either the web developer is no more or you are tired of paying the monthly charges to update your site. Driver Websites has made uploading your own content to your own site a reality. With the tutorial videos DW offers you will see how easy of a system we have created. For more information, visit http://www.DriverWebsites.com.

“Josh Holt and the team at Driver Websites have been with me since the beginning of my sprint car career in 2010,” Jamie Ball said. “They are great people that offer a great service that includes web design, autograph cards, business cards, sponsor proposals and much more. They are professional guys that are also personable and provide great customer service. If you want a website that is professional yet affordable, Driver Websites is the only choice!”
